Can you see the bees? They were living in our roof until Scott thought they would like a home of their own. So he got them one. Here he is suiting up to help them move to their new home:
One of our neighbors owns a loader. He offered to let Scott use it to get to the bees. (I think he also wanted a front-row seat to see the grand production.)
Scott got the bees settled in their brand-new home and fed them lots of yummy(?) sugar water so they would be able to make the honey they needed to live through the winter. The bees ate all the food that they were given, but didn't care for their new home. One week after they moved in, they left. They were there in the evening, then completely gone the next morning. I hope they found a good place to live and made it through the winter.And we now have all kinds of bee-keeping equipment in storage.
